The Canadian Intellectual Property Office has advised that on November 5, 2018 Canada has acceded to the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs.<\/p>\n
In addition, effective June 17, 2019, Canada will have acceded to three international trade mark treaties, namely, the Madrid Protocol, the Singapore Treaty and the Nice Agreement.<\/p>\n
Through the World Intellectual Property Organization, businesses will be able to register trade marks in multiple countries by filing a single application in one language and paying fees in one transaction and in one currency.<\/p>\n
