We are proud to share that Daniel has been honoured with the prestigious Founder’s Award by STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), announced at the STEP Worldwide AGM in London, UK, in February 2025.

This international recognition celebrates Daniel’s outstanding contributions to the field of trusts and estates, including his thought leadership through articles, presentations, and policy work. The award plaque was presented to him at the STEP Canada National Conference in Toronto on June 16, 2025.

Over the years, Daniel has shared his insights with the STEP community through a number of impactful publications and presentations, including among others:

• Unique Aspects of Quebec Trusts
• Land transfer tax issues concerning trusts
• Using Canadian charities internationally
• Submission to the federal government on the beneficial ownership register
