Ava Liaghati brings a rare multidisciplinary perspective to her legal practice, shaped by an academic background that bridges science and law. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Bio‑Medical Sciences from the University of Guelph and a Master’s in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa, where she developed strong analytical and research skills before turning her focus to the legal field.
She later earned both a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University, equipping her with a deep understanding of Canada’s bijural legal system.
Ava began her legal career articling at a major Crown corporation, gaining experience in complex regulatory and administrative matters. She then spent three and a half years at a respected litigation boutique in Montréal’s Old Port, where she honed her advocacy skills and managed a wide range of contentious files.
Today, Ava is a member of Spiegel Ryan’s Corporate and Commercial Litigation team, where she combines her scientific rigor, legal insight, and strategic thinking to support clients facing high‑stakes business disputes.
