Working with the other assistant assigned to this senior partner, the successful candidate will have the following main responsibilities:
Conducting conflict searches when opening a file
Conducting research (REQ, judgments, land registry, RDPRM, etc.)
Transcribing and formatting dictations and other legal documents (letters, proceedings, contracts, agreements, etc.)
Managing the procedural aspects of files (documents to be sent to the opposing party, the court, bailiffs, etc.)
Prepare for client meetings: room reservations, technical requirements, stenographers, document preparation and printing, meal orders)
File documents (notes, correspondence, proceedings, exhibits, etc.) in an orderly manner in both computer systems and physical files
Collaborate with the IT department for technical needs and follow-ups
Proactively assist the partner in following up on files with other lawyers
Perform administrative tasks such as opening and closing files, billing, filing, etc.
Perform any other related tasks as required by the team.
Required qualifications:
College diploma in legal secretarial studies
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, performing similar duties
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
MAITRE and Imanage software (an asset)
Very good spelling and grammar skills
Proficiency in French and English (the person will be required to serve and interact with a predominantly English-speaking clientele (85%), both orally and in writing

We are currently looking for a Corporate Paralegal.
The candidate will be able to draft a variety of corporate documents (incorporations, organizations, amendments of articles, dissolutions, share transactions, extra-provincial registrations and amalgamations) and perform various other transactions, such as due diligence in the context of mergers and acquisitions. The person will also be in charge of the maintenance of minute books for clients and will assist lawyers in transactions.
The candidate will have a DEC in Paralegal Technology or equivalent. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, the candidate will be known for his/her attention to detail, ability to work autonomously and strong client relation skills. Finally, the person will be fluent in written and spoken French and English (the person will be required to serve and interact with an 85% English-speaking clientele).
